Poems by Gulten Doğruyol İncesu

OH! DEAR GOD!
This hair is too much for me
But only two eyes seem
less to me,see!
I want the third one,
The third one
To see all the sorrow
And to cry overall…
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL THING TO WRITE
What a beautiful thing to write
With blood oozing from a bleeding wound
It’s like drawing birds
It’s like painting in a word
To the stones, rocks, caves
From the pains
Creating great joys
Embroidering the beauties
And
By writing freedom on papers
Being able to put them in the pockets of children
BE SIDE WITH THE GOOD ALL THE TIME
Be side with the good all the time
Choosing the bad is the easy way
For example
As you grow flowers among the thorns
It’s easy to pluck it from its life
Everything disappears between two fingers
Even in the worst times resistingly
Don’t give up that green branch reaching out for the life
Read poetry
As if challenging to death
Sing songs from memories
Don’t forget the wind that blows your hair on the steamers
Listen to the seagulls
If you forget, what remains of the seas
From that blue plain stretching out to the eternity
For a piece of meat
Don’t you dare be an enemy to the chukar
May your hand not ever resemble the hands of murderers
You
Look at the peaks of the mountains
To the asmin[1] flowers smiling at you
